I just got back from a little time away after our conference. It was good to get away and recharge the batteries as they say. I would like to say I took the time to visit some exotic or stimulating place, or used it wisely to reconnect with truth. But other than a few days at the beach, I was busy cleaning out my attic which has accumulated 20 years of detritus and helping my brother-in-law pack up for a move to Florida. Pretty exciting, I know!
What is exciting is we had another tremendous conference here in Burlington for the whole captive community! We had over 1000 attendees from 40 US states and 8 countries who learned, networked and had a great time. Sure we had a little rain that kept our intrepid golfers “moist”, but the day cleared up (mostly) and we enjoyed a beautiful evening at Shelburne Farms on the shore of Lake Champlain – and for those of you from out-of-state, a chance to try the famous and elusive beer known as Heady Topper.
Thank you all who came and provided your expertise and time to make it another terrific conference. We couldn’t put this great event on without all your help, as well as the support of all of our sponsors. I look forward to working with all of you through the course of the year!
